Following an extensive career as a pharmacist, Fontainebleau’s founder, internationally qualified chemist, Lester Blou, started the company in 1989, initially as a consultancy to local and international companies for the development of pharmaceutical and cosmetic products.

By drawing on many years of experience and professional expertise, Fontainebleau has developed a range of products which not only maintain the highest level of scientific excellence but are also environmentally friendly.  Its entire range of stain removers are bleach-free, non-hazardous and biodegradable, and its lice treatment product is formulated to eradicate lice without the use of poisonous chemicals.
